Workshop
Clear Feedback
Trust and collaboration improve when feedback is clear
The Details
Intended audience: Individual contributors, cross-functional teams, leaders looking to build trust and transparency in their communication and set clear expectations to surface issues as quickly as possible
Feedback conversations can be challenging. If feedback is given off the cuff, it can sting; if feedback is long-winded, the point might be missed. However, when feedback conversations are avoided, one might fail to see where they can improve. Working relationships and work performance suffer.
In this 3-hour engaging workshop, participants will learn not only how to clearly ask and mindfully receive feedback, but will also gain tips and practice frameworks to deliver direct and respectful feedback to colleagues. The highlight of the workshop is everybody role-playing the feedback conversation they want to have to get feedback on how to improve. This class fosters better working relationships, trust, and collaboration among colleagues to make feedback conversations an ongoing, regular habit.
Agenda:
Asking for Feedback: Learn the importance of requesting specific feedback on your job performance to build trust with others
Receiving Feedback: Discover tips on how to manage your response to critical feedback
Practice Delivering Feedback: Learn two frameworks—one for preparation and one for structuring the feedback conversation—and then practice delivering feedback
Class Size: up to 20 participants
Format: 2.5 hours virtual or 3 hours in person
