Workshop
Communicating Through Change
Lead with clarity, speak with care, sustain momentum
The Details
In moments of change — new leadership, AI disruption, reorgs — teams look to leaders for two things: clarity and confidence. This workshop helps leaders communicate through uncertainty with a balance of clarity, empathy, and momentum. You’ll learn how to identify what change means for your team, craft clear and compassionate messages, and create trust and alignment through steady, transparent communication.
Leaders leave with ready-to-use tools for 1:1s, staff meetings, all-hands, and async updates.
Outcomes – leaders will be able to:
1. Identify the impact: Before you communicate, understand what the change means for your team. What do they need to know? What will they worry about? You’ll learn how to surface key concerns and shape your message around what people need most.
2. Craft a clear message: Use a simple prep check (Audience → Intent → Message) and a “Clear-Care-Do framework” to balance clarity, care, and action:
Clear: Say what’s happening in plain language.
Care: Acknowledge the impact on people — name the feeling or stake.
Do: Give a concrete next step — what happens now or what’s needed next.
3. Handle hard questions without eroding trust: Learn bridge phrases and the “What we know / don’t know / when we’ll know” framework to hold boundaries while staying transparent.
4. Set a steady communication rhythm: Decide what to share, how often, and through which channels to reduce rumor, confusion, and rework.
5. Motivate toward action: Connect change to purpose, priorities, and near-term wins.
